Every year, Microsoft holds its BUILD conference, which aims to give developers an insight as to what the company has in store with regards to its major software products. While not necessarily limited to Windows, the Redmond company’s OS is a significant talking point, and with speculation already in full force with regards to what changes Microsoft is looking to make to Windows moving forward, the software maker has announced that this year’s  BUILD conference will commence from June 26th this year. You can check out further details right after the jump.

It will run from the 26th all the way through to the 28th, and will be held at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The announcement was made by the company’s VP Steve Guggenheimer, who shared Microsoft’s excitement at hosting a developer event in the Bay Area. The Moscone Center is, of course, a popular choice of venue for arch rival Apple, and with Microsoft also promising to discuss future plans for Windows, it’ll be an event developers won’t want to miss.

Last year’s BUILD conference, which was held at the company’s own Redmond campus, didn’t take place until October 30th, although the release of the multi-platform Windows 8 (and numerous accompanying products) had a great deal to do with that. Last year was a particularly busy one for a company which had very little opportunity to break for air, but with Windows 8, the Surface RT + Pro, and Windows Phone 8 now well established, attentions have naturally turned to the next phase.
